Caring for Rural Communities
Rural Interprofessional Longitudinal Scholars (RIPLS) is a community-campus partnership designed to improve health in rural North Carolina by preparing future healthcare professionals to collaborate through team-based experiences. With your support, this program helps:
- Address the critical healthcare workforce shortages in rural North Carolina
- Strengthen the pipeline of providers committed to serving rural communities
- Foster interprofessional collaboration across health disciplines
- Develop real-world, community-driven solutions to health challenges
Every Gift Matters
UNC Rural offers programs that strengthen community-campus partnerships and support student success:
- $1,000 provides one rural partner with technical assistance
- $2,000 covers expenses for one Rural Community Conversation
- $10,000 provides one Rural Interprofessional Longitudinal Scholars scholarship
- $15,000 creates seed funding for one rural project
- $50,000 funds all community-campus events for one year
- $125,000 funds all RREAF awards for one year
